Visiting Guidelines - 19th July and Beyond

July 2021

Visiting guidelines for after 19th July 2021

We are sure that many of you are as excited as we are at the prospect of returning to some kind of “normality” now that the Government have lifted restrictions. We do however ask that you support us by exercising caution and continuing with the safety measures put in place prior to the lifting of restrictions.
You will find the safety measures that will be in operation around the three stores below, as well as the safety measures we will politely ask you to comply with.

Sunflower Cafes

Our  Horningsea Sunflower Cafe and Fordham Sunflower Cafe has now re-opened. Opening times and safety measures can be found here.

Our Great Shelford Sunflower cafe remains closed but we will notify all through the usual channels as soon as we have a date for the re-opening.

Working Together to Create a Safe Shopping Experience

As a precautionary note, if you display any of the following symptoms please do not enter our stores:
– Continuous cough
– High temperature
– Shortness of breath
– Loss of taste or smell

We also ask that if possible our customers visit during week days when the stores are quieter.

Distancing Measures
– Please keep yourself  minimum of 1 metre away from others in the store at all times, we have provided helpful markers and signs where this is essential.
– Due to limited spaces in both the men’s and ladies toilets, we ask that a maximum of 2 customers enter at any one time. Markers and signage will instruct where to queue from outside the toilets.
–  We are happy for your to bring your dogs into any of our three stores as long as they are kept on leads and under strict supervision. We ask that you are conscious of others around you and the required social distancing measures.
– Please note that some queuing systems have changed since our stores re-opened earlier this year. This is due to our continual monitoring of the best safety practises. We ask that you keep an eye out for informative signage and changes in store even if you have visited the store since our re-opening.
– We ask that children must be kept under strict supervision at all times for their safety and the safety of others.
– We will not enforce limiting numbers per group but we do ask if possible to visit by yourself or in small numbers to help us maintain social distancing in store.
– Household/bubble rule will no longer apply when visiting our Sunflower Cafes.

Protective Measures

– Our sanitation stations will remain located throughout our stores for customer and staff use.
– We ask that our customers wash their hands regularly. Our facilities will be open, well stocked and will be checked periodically each day.
– If possible please touch only what you intend on buying.
–  Perspex screes will remain in place for the benefit of our customers and staff. We ask you do not touch the screens.
– Our staff are required to wash their hands as often as possible. They will also have their own hand sanitiser for use whilst on the shop floor.
– Pay by contactless if possible although cash will be accepted. The maximum spend on contactless payments has been extended to £45 per transaction.
– We will clean every trolley regularly however this should in no way be considered completely sanitised for use, therefore please exercise your own  personal safety and care.
 – During busy periods parking will be limited. We would then ask you to remain in your vehicle and in the queue. You will be directed to a free space by one of the team as soon as a space becomes available.
– Track & Trace will not be required when visiting our Sunflower Cafes but we do encourage our cafe visitors to scan the posters located at the cafes with the NHS app.
– The wearing of face coverings inside retail spaces is now not a legal requirement but we support the Government’s advise in continuing to wearing face coverings. Therefore we politely ask that you support our staff who will be required to wear face coverings by also wearing a face covering in all areas of our stores unless exempt or when seated in our Sunflower Cafes.

Area Restrictions

– Some product availability may still be limited due to the continued impact of Covid-19 on the supply chain. We will have staff available to advise on alternatives or expected product delivery dates. Please ring ahead to check product availability before visiting the store.
– Some areas of the store may be closed at short notice for customer safety only. If you would like assistance a member of staff will be on hand to find a product for you.
– Please expect changes to all store entrances:
The main entrance remains closed at Great Shelford, please enter through the plant entrance.
Horningsea will close their turnstile entrance so please use the main entrance only.
Fordham will continue to use their existing entrance.
– There may be outdoor queuing systems in place at our stores during busy periods, when this is the case a member of staff will be present to help with social distancing.

Deliveries
– We understand that many still do not feel confident visiting inside our stores and so we are continuing our Click & Collect service at Great Shelford on selected products. Please look out for the Click & Collect symbol on product pages of our website, as shown on the right here.
– Delivery is £10 or free over £150 spend, within 30 miles of each store. For orders beyond the 30 mile radius please contact us directly for more information.
 – All deliveries unless stated during the ordering process, will be delivered as close to front doors as possible . Heavier goods may require a nearest  roadside drop-off point instead.
-We will not require signature for confirmation of delivery but we may photograph the delivery in situ instead.
– We are unable to offer a furniture or BBQ assembly service.
– We anticipate high demand for delivery items. We will endeavour to book the best available slot for our customers as always but delayed deliveries  may occur as demand increases which we will notify you of.

We will continue to review our safety measures and may be subject to change without notice, although we will always aim to notify all through the usual channels with prior warning.  Please regularly check back to see our latest guidelines prior to visiting our stores.

We thank you for understanding and support throughout the year.
