What’s the role about?

We are seeking a Retail Floor Manager to join our team at Great Shelford.

Reporting to the Group General Manager, the successful candidate will bring exceptional retail management expertise with proven experience of leading multiple direct reports and their teams. You will thrive in a hands-on retail environment and have the drive, confidence and commercial thinking to oversee the sales floor, taking full responsibility for putting our customers first and delivering outstanding results.

 

Key Responsibilities will include:

Ensuring excellent retail standards throughout the site

Line management of department managers, setting goals and objectives to increase sales

Promote ownership and accountability to create a positive, productive, enjoyable and motivated working environment

Working alongside the People and Culture Manager to ensure people are in the right place at the right time, as seasonal peaks require

Working with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure the right mix of product and people to fill shelves and meet delivery requirements

Management of site ensuring a positive customer experience from entrance to exit

Management of customer service relations

Overseeing the Duty Manager rota to ensure a management presence on site at all times

Supporting and enhancing the learning culture at Scotsdales

Ensuring a safe environment for colleagues, contractors and customers

Liaising with the maintenance team where necessary

Working closely with the VM team

 

About You:

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Ability to provide meaningful, objective challenges that take into consideration not just the operational priority but also our customers experience

Excellent time management

Always seeking to improve quality and service

High level of passion for retail

A competency with IT (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint) is desirable.

A full driving license would be desired.

(Prior expertise in gardening is NOT essential).
