Job Description
Scotsdales are seeking a General Assistant to join our team at Great Shelford. You will be based in our Garden Furniture department / Christmas department (when the seasons change) reporting to the Retail Floor Manager.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Helping and giving advice to customers on high value products including garden furniture, barbecues and outdoor living products.
- Making suggestions on all our product lines (training will be given).
- Being proactive in helping customers make their decisions and complete the sale.
- Working with the correct department to arrange and organise customer deliveries ensuring they are completed correctly and efficiently.
- Daily care of the furniture department including cleaning and ensuring promotional material is correct and up to date.
- Providing support in other areas of the business when needed especially in Christmas Department in the winter season.
- Supporting the operations department with information desk and tills cover.
Person Specification:
- Well presented, outgoing and friendly
- Able to quickly build a good rapport with customers
- Confident with dealing with high value products and sales
- Able to use your own initiative and have a flexible approach to their working day
- Retail experience desirable
Rates advertised on based on age 21+, competitive rates for those aged 18-20.
