Job Description

We are seeking a Gift and Food Hall Manager to join our Horningsea team.

Reporting to the Centre Manager, the successful candidate will bring exceptional retail expertise with proven experience of leading a team. You will thrive in a hands-on retail environment and have the drive, confidence and strategic commercial thinking to oversee the running of the gift and food hall departments.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring excellent retail standards throughout the gift department, including homewares, gifting and toys.
  • Ensuring rotas and timesheets are maintained and run appropriately
  • Line management of the gift team (2-4 people) and the food hall (1 person), including 1:1’s, setting goals and objectives to increase sales
  • Liaising with buyers and placing reorders as necessary
  • Promoting ownership and accountability to create a positive, productive, enjoyable and motivated working environment
  • Working alongside the People and Culture Manager to ensure correct resourcing and people issues are appropriately managed
  • Supporting and enhancing the learning culture at Scotsdales
  • Ensuring a safe environment for colleagues, contractors and customers
  • Be a role model and ambassador for Scotsdales core values

– This role may also include Duty Manager responsibilities as required.

Person Specification:

  • Retail background and proven sales track record
  • IT literate in Office and working knowledge of EPOS systems
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ideally with supervisory experience

This role will include working every other weekend.
